Comparing KiwiSaver Funds

KiwiSaver is a long term savings plan. Our investment approach is focused on generating meaningful investment returns over the long term. When comparing performance between different Schemes there are a few things you should bear in mind:

  • Compare "apples with apples" (i.e. similar Fund types)
  • Take into account that past performance isn't a guarantee of future performance
  • Try not to compare fees by themselves – lower fees could mean a different management style and this could impact on performance
  • Looking out over three and five years is of course a better indicator of a fund manager’s performance track record
